I always had the intention of applying it to a greeting card that could be used for all sorts of occasions. I often want to drop someone a note (a real paper one) and found I never had the right card handy.</p>

<p>I realized I had not actually set foot in OCAD since I graduated 15 yrs ago. And wow, does it ever look different from the rectangular, concrete box that I walked into every day (sleep deprived and fueled with Jolt cola).</p>
<p>The Design &amp; Advertising work was solid, but what truly amazed me, and inspired me, was both the Drawing &amp; Painting and Material Art work. Here are three of my favourite newly discovered OCAD artists:</p>

<p>This will be the first in a series of 'Confessions' books, so we wanted to establish a look that could be rolled out over multiple books. The title type treatment was in jeopardy of being pared down to something much more subtle, but once the color palette of the cover was switched to a more sophisticate palette (blue and khaki 'greige' vs. the original hot pink and turquoise) it all came together and worked.</p>
<p>Research for this cover consisted of a lot of time on the CW website...</p>

<p>Here is the final concept that was approved by Harlequin. I also designed the author type treatment to span across a new upcoming series of books for Brenda.</p>

<p>I spotted gorgeous packaging on some coffee on display by <a href="http://www.49thparallelroasters.com/" target="_blank">49th Parallel</a> coffee.</p>
