silver samba design is led by owner + creative director Alana Ruoso.

Alana is an art director and graphic designer specializing in print. Having worked with many innovative design and advertising agencies in Toronto for over 14 years, she has extensive knowledge of branding and visual communication. Recent projects in fiction publishing have enabled Alana to work with top photographers in both Toronto and New York.

A graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design, Alana received both a Design diploma and the Lyn Jamison scholarship in Package Design. She also held the position of Senior Design Instructor at the Harris Institute in Toronto (1999-2010), teaching design and computer graphics to students pursuing a career in the competitive music industry.

Most recently, a life-long passion for typography has led Alana to create prints and stationery for the modern home.
